NYAIは福岡在住の男女混成５人組ロックバンド。2nd full album「HAO」が突如2019年7月のタワレコメンに選出され、急激に全国的な知名度が上がる。
福岡にてマイペースな活動を続けるも、分かる人には分かるポップでオルタナティヴなギターロックサウンドで地元のハイセンスな個人イベンターや媒体関係者を早くから虜にする。 80年代末から90年代にかけて多発した英国/米国/日本などのオルタナティヴなバンド/ユニット/アーティストなどにルーツを持ちつつ、独自の言語感覚で2020年以降の新たなるジャパニーズバンドポップスの潮流の一角を形成する予感がひしひしと。
2016年9月に1stフルアルバム『OLD AGE SYSTEMATIC』 、2019年7月に2ndフルアルバム『HAO』をリリース。
福岡在住のスタイルながら、各地のライブイベント/サーキット、地元福岡でのツアーバンドのゲストなど、様々なラブコールが日々増加中。合わせて、ラジオ『SPITZ 草野マサムネのロック大陸漫遊記』や SPITZ のファンクラブ会報誌『Spitzbergen』、音楽サイト『REAL SOUND』、J-WAVEの人気番組『SONAR MUSIC』の「SONAR TRAX」、『POPEYE』2019年11月号(特集：いま、聴きたい音楽ってなんだろう？) でもカラー1P（NYAIの大ファンの漫画家＜渋谷直角さん＞による、コミック形式のライブレポ）で紹介されるなど、全国的に加速度的にその存在感が高まっている模様。

NYAI is an alternative five piece rock band formed and living in Fukuoka city which is placed in the southern part of Japan.
Their music style is influenced by the late 80s to 90s alternative pop and rock bands and artists from US, UK and Japan, such as Flaming Lips, Pavement and Cornelius. Nevertheless, their music can be described as very much original NYAI music for the people living in the 21st century.
It is authentic, futuristic, realistic and much more fun to listen to for the everyday people in the world today.
