Japan's largest live circuit, which has never been seen before in the rock scene in Tokyo, will finally start this autumn.
Its name is "TOKYO CALLING 2016"
This year's Silver Week will be held in Shimokitazawa, Shinjuku, and Shibuya for three days, September 17th (Sat), September 18th (Sun), and September 19th (Mon/holiday).

Focusing on three central areas of Tokyo's music scene, Shimokitazawa, Shinjuku, and Shibuya, the first day, September 17th, will be held at 10 venues in Shimokitazawa, the next day, September 18th, at 10 venues in Shinjuku, and the final day, September 19th, in Shibuya. It will be held at a total of 30 live houses at 10 venues, and a total of 300 artists will participate.

In addition to the event, I would like to check that the radio program "TOKYO CALLING" with the same name will start on TOKYO FM from 4/7 (Thursday). Broadcast every Thursday from 20:30 to 21:15. The navigators are Takuto Ohnuki, who is in charge of TOKYO FM's rock program, and Yui Kanno, two people who are full of love for music. More and more information and songs of artists appearing in "TOKYO CALLING 2016" will be on air. Regarding the announcement of the artists who are interested, it seems that there will be some movement in the first broadcast of this program.

Tokyo is the center of Japan and the center of music, but in the rock world, the Kansai group is gaining momentum these days. A major reason for this is the enrichment of circuit events and festivals, with individual eventers, live houses, event promoters, FM stations, and TV stations organically intertwining each event and festival, and a system that automatically grows the band. is made of. However, since there are no circuit events comparable to them in Tokyo, the nation's leading circuit festivals such as Osaka "Unlimited Viewing", Nagoya "Dera Rock", and Fukuoka "TENJIN ONTAQ" are jointly gathered in Tokyo. This time, we will finally launch Japan's largest live circuit.

The purpose of this event is to combine the independent scenes of Shimokitazawa, Shinjuku, and Shibuya to create Japan's number one rock scene. We believe that this event will be created with all artists, music agencies, and record companies, and that over the next 5 to 10 years, we will be able to create an environment where artists can continue to make music for the rest of their lives. says the event manager.

Check the official website, which will be updated from time to time, for the latest information such as artist information, TOKYO FM "TOKYO CALLING" program information, and ticket information.

It is likely that we will have to keep an eye on future developments as it is a large circuit that attracts attention from all quarters.
