Umeda Shangri-La, Japan's first live house and hostel integrated renovation project started!

Opened in 2005 under the concept of "Hundred Flowers", "Umeda Shangri-La" celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.
At the 10th anniversary event "Lost Music Festival" held at the Osaka Castle Concert Hall, KANA-BOON, Kyusonekokami, tricot, Zainichi Funk, Strange Reitaro Travel Swing Orchestra, Dramatic Alaska, Secret Meeting and Tinnitus, onion night! It has become a live house that represents Kansai, with more than 2,000 visitors.

Such Umeda Shangri-La has announced the start of the "Japan's first integrated renovation of a live house and hostel" project and crowdfunding.

Due to the rapid increase in the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan, it is said that there may be a shortage of about 20,000 hotel rooms in the Kansai area by 2020.
There is already a shortage of lodging facilities, and accommodation prices are starting to soar.

Based on the management philosophy of "creating an environment where artists can face music more",
With this project, it became possible to secure cheap accommodation and integrate it with live booking,
The aim is to reduce the miscellaneous work and stress associated with live tours and let them concentrate on live performances.

``I hope that the Kansai music scene will be further revitalized by devoting themselves to live performances and increasing the number of wonderful live performances.''
Comment from Mr. Ryota Kii, manager of Shangri-La.

Construction costs of 10 million yen were incurred due to this renovation,
As working capital for providing better services and operations involving artists
We are looking for 1.5 million yen through crowdfunding.

In order to please as many people as possible, the artist repeats rehearsals many times, thinks about the set list, and thinks of various projects. And on the day of the live, it may be an exaggeration, but they put their soul into it.
That alone requires a large amount of energy, but in addition to that, we also have to arrange for equipment vehicles, accommodation facilities, and product sales. There are many things left to do other than music to go on a live expedition.
There are too many tragic news stories such as such a harsh expedition and the death of a member in a traffic accident while traveling.

The common philosophy of Umeda Shangri-La and its parent company LD&K is "For Artists = Creating an environment where they can face music with peace of mind". There are "live houses" such as Umeda Shangri-La to create an environment that is easy to perform live with good sound and lighting.

Through this project, "I hope that the artist's stress will be reduced as much as possible and that they will be able to concentrate on live performances."
We hope that the audience will be able to experience the splendor of their live performances. And I believe that they can contribute even a little to the further activation and development of the music scene not only in Osaka but all over Japan.
