Natsuko Nisshoku's new single "Smoke and Crystal" Music Video Released!

Solo artist Natsuko Nisshoku, who performs piano and vocals, has released the music video for her digital single "Kemuri to Suisho" (Smoke and Crystal), which was released on Wednesday, April 8th.

The new song "Smoke and Crystal" captures the wavering and uncertainties I feel within myself—a feeling that could vanish at any moment like smoke, or perhaps exist forever like a crystal.

In keeping with that wavering, a music video has been released featuring Natsuko Hishiguri standing beyond a hazy spring mist, with the silhouette of a piano as its symbolic element. Directed by Dai Osaki (Ten to Sen Inc.), who expressed subtle fluctuations in the "meridian" music video, the video dynamically and delicately depicts the dramatic development of the song along with the changing sky.

A fleeting moment that dissolves like smoke, and an eternity that remains silent like crystal. This latest work, imbued with the scent of spring and sung with a light melody, captures the loneliness illuminated by the hazy spring light—a feeling that is so characteristic of Natsuko Nisshoku. You should definitely check it out.

— Natsuko Nisshoku "Smoke and Crystal" Music Video —
https://youtu.be/r08NcZVnLlw

─ Eclipse Natsuko comment ─
Director Osaki, who previously created the fantastical music video for "meridian" with its interplay of light and shadow, has now created a new world for "Smoke and Crystal."

An unmanned quarry, a spring breeze kicking up dust, and hazy sunlight.

That place, where there was no cell phone signal, felt like a truly special place, perfectly suited to simply stand there, confront, and accept my own confusion, a confusion that no one else could share with me.

Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai releases new song with all English lyrics and music video ahead of North American tour

Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai has released their new song "I wish I could speak English", the band's first song with lyrics entirely in English. The music video was also released at noon on the same day. The illustrations for the jacket and music video were created by illustrator Iwai Yoriyoshi, who has worked on many American comic book style works. Along with the visuals of the Utsukubi members drawn in an American comic book style, the music video allows you to enjoy the world of the new song even more vividly.

This song, produced ahead of the band's North American tour next month, is the band's first song with lyrics entirely in English, yet it also features the band's earnest, honest feelings, "I can't speak English because I didn't study it in time..." This is a song that depicts the gap between their motivation for the North American tour and reality in a humorous yet earnest way, typical of Utsukubi, making it an English version of "loud rock that's close to everyday life."

Taking on the new challenge of composing lyrics entirely in English, Namahage, the original VJ for Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai, who has also lived in the US for work, assisted with the lyrics and provided pronunciation guidance for the singers. Additionally, Backdrop Cinderella, who toured with the band on their US tour in 2024, provided guest chorus support.

This song can be seen as a new frontier for the band, incorporating the new approach of using English, while still firmly imbuing the down-to-earth, everyday feel that is unique to Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai.

[Utsukubigokumon Club Profile]

Formed in 2004. A three-piece band consisting of Atsushi Osawa (guitar/vocals), Asuka Kawamoto (drums/vocals), and junko (bass/vocals). A rare style with a male guitarist, a female rhythm section, and a mixed vocal ensemble with male and female vocalists taking turns singing. Musically, the sound is deep bass-oriented with 7-string guitars and 5-string basses, but the lyrics are full of everyday topics about food and health, creating a huge gap. Due to their unique stance, they call their music genre "loud rock for everyday life." They were also one of the first in the industry to use a VJ to display lyrics during live performances, and the VJ role is handled by an employee of their agency, which is also an unusual arrangement that enhances their unique style. They have firmly established their position as a unique band in every aspect.

Despite the band's name, their fan base is wide, with people of all ages and genders, and they have written songs for everything from sports drink commercials to anime theme songs and children's programs, and they have collaborated with everything from professional wrestlers to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, so they know exactly what they want. They are also very active as a live band, having toured numerous times and sold out the Nippon Budokan in 2018, and their 20th anniversary tour in 2024 was a huge success, attracting 10,000 people to the final show. They have become well-known as a regular band at famous festivals in Japan, and recently they have begun to expand overseas.

Kariyushi 58 will release their new song "Ai wo Amu" digitally on their debut anniversary! They will hold a solo concert at Osaka Castle Music Hall on Mother's Day! New visuals have also been released!

Okinawa-born band "Kariyushi 58" will celebrate their 20th anniversary since their debut on February 22nd this year.
It was announced that a new song, "Ai wo Kumi," will be released digitally on that anniversary.

The album includes two songs, "Ai wo Amu" written and composed by Maekawa Shingo, and "youth" co-written with label mate Gagaga SP's Yamamoto Satoshi.

When the lifelines of two people, which are different in length and shape, overlap, a warm circle is created that could not be drawn by one person alone.
"Weaving Love" expresses the way two people come together to weave a life, all the more endearing because they are not a perfect circle.
The song is filled with the hope that the past 20 years and the future will continue to weave love with loved ones.

"Youth" was created in collaboration with Gagaga SP guitarist Satoshi Yamamoto.
The song is filled with the love for family and children shared by two men who share the common bond of being fathers.
The reason why Kariyushi 58's Maekawa sent a demo tape to his label LD&K was because of Gagaga SP.
The song has a narrative quality and was co-written with Yamamoto, a member of Gagaga SP, as the first work of the 20th anniversary year since their debut.

Furthermore, a solo concert has been scheduled for Mother's Day, Sunday May 10th, at Osaka Castle Music Hall!
I hope many people will come and see what kind of Mother's Day live performance will be held to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut.
Tickets are available for pre-sale to FC fans until 23:59 on Monday, February 9th, so be sure to get yours early.

In addition, new artist photos were released to mark the 20th anniversary.

They also announced the release of a tribute album featuring a stellar cast and band tour in March.
It will be interesting to see what kind of projects these popular artists will develop in the future.

Dramatic Alaska releases new song that "dances with social satire"

Dramatic Alaska will release their new song "Mondai Desu" digitally on Wednesday, October 15th.

This will be the first new song released digitally in about nine months.

This work expresses the pressure of always being asked to provide an answer to the choices we make in our daily lives, as well as a satire of modern society's fast-paced nature, and asks these questions over a danceable beat.

Although they feel a sense of emptiness due to the lack of language skills and the difficulty of understanding each other, they release their daily frustrations through live performances.

It has already been performed live and is a song that gets the whole floor dancing.

The song will be aired for the first time on the media on α-STATION's "Okazaki Radio Channel" program, which will be broadcast from 10:00 PM on Friday, October 10th.

Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai announces new songs, collaborations, new merchandise, and new artist photos! A flurry of announcements just before the tour!

Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai has announced the release of their new song "Hokkori News Daishuugou" ahead of their "Let's Finally Play Together Tour 2025" which starts on Monday, September 1st.

Additionally, new artist photos based on illustrations by the members and new merchandise for this tour have also been released.

The new song "Hokkori News Daishuugou" was released as a digital single on Saturday, August 30th, just a few hours after the announcement. It was created with the desire to "deliver more heartwarming and peaceful topics" in an age where grim information is prominent on social media these days, and it is a unique song that has delivered timely "heartwarming news" at live performances.

Furthermore, the album jacket features a collaboration with Inu Inu, the author of a childcare manga that is hugely popular on social media. A post of "Cho-chan singing Utsukubigokumon Doukoukai's 'I Don't Want to Get Out of Futon'" gained over 100,000 likes, creating a buzz and finally leading to an official collaboration.

The tour merchandise announced at the same time will also include collaboration items with Inu Inu. The T-shirts and towels feature scenes that became popular on social media, and are truly heartwarming. These items will go on sale at live venues and online stores from the first day of the tour on Monday, September 1st.

In addition, the new artist photo released this time features the latest member illustrations that have already received great support from fans through social media content and merchandise development. This is the first update in 1 year and 8 months since the previous artist photo, which was created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the group's formation in 2024.

With numerous announcements, Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai is in high spirits for the upcoming tour, and expectations are high for their performances across the country.

[About the song]
The song is full of humor and surprise, as the performance suddenly stops from the intense rock sound that is typical of Utsukubi Gokumon Doukoukai and switches to a part where "heartwarming news" is read out loud.

[Utsukubigokumon Club Profile]
Formed in 2004, this three-piece band features guitarist/vocalist Atsushi Osawa, drummer/vocalist Asuka Kawamoto, and bassist/vocalist Junko. Their unique style features a male guitarist, a female rhythm section, and a mixed vocal lineup with alternating male and female vocalists. Their musical sound, driven by a deep bass oriented seven-string guitar and five-string bass, contrasts sharply with their lyrics, which focus on everyday topics like food and health. Their unique approach has led them to describe their musical genre as "lifestyle-focused loud rock." They were also one of the first bands in the industry to use video jockeys to display lyrics during live performances, with the VJ functioning as an employee of their agency, further enhancing their unique style. Every element of their sound has solidified their position as a unique band.

Despite the band's name, their fan base is diverse, spanning men and women of all ages, and they have written songs for everything from sports drink commercials to anime theme songs and children's programs, and their collaborations with everyone from professional wrestlers to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries are limitless. They also continue to be active as a live band, having toured extensively, selling out the Nippon Budokan in 2018, and their 20th anniversary tour in 2024 was a huge success, drawing in 10,000 people for the final show. While they have become a regular at many of Japan's most famous festivals, they have recently begun to branch out overseas.

Yohmo To Ohana's song "Zutto Zutto Zutto" has been chosen as the ending theme for the NHK special anime "Cocoon - From Girls of a Summer."

The broadcast date and time for the special anime "Cocoon: From Girls of a Summer," which was broadcast in advance on BS in March this year, has been decided for General TV. Yohmo To Ohana's song "Zutto Zutto Zutto" has been chosen as the ending theme.

What happened to a group of young girls on a southern island one summer could happen to us someday... How do we feel when our peaceful daily lives suddenly turn into a battlefield and our lives are put in a desperate situation? Based on the manga "Cocoon" by Machiko Kon, which was inspired by the Battle of Okinawa during the Pacific War, a promising young talent and veterans of Japanese animation have created a story they hope to deliver in 2025.
