Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai Acoustic Team's compilation album "Dou Baka Kashou Shuu," a collection of songs summarizing over a decade of activity, will be released on September 5th (Saturday). It includes 6 songs dedicated to "Suiyou Dou Deshou."
Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai Acoustic Team, a side project by Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai's guitarist/vocalist Atsushi Osawa and drummer/vocalist Asuka Kawamoto, will release their compilation album "Dou Baka Kashou Shuu" on September 5th, 2026 (Saturday), which summarizes their activities over the past decade.
Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai Acoustic Team was formed in 2014 after participating in the "Suiyou Dou Deshou Caravan." Due to the nature of the event, which uses the back of a truck as a stage, it was difficult to perform as a full band. Therefore, Osawa and Kawamoto, who were already fans of "Suiyou Dou Deshou," started out as a duo with acoustic guitar and cajon.
Since then, their activities have been limited to appearances on the "Suiyou Dou Deshou Caravan" a few days a year, and in stark contrast to the sound of Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai itself, they have been performing relaxed songs based on acoustic sounds.
The acoustic group's latest release, "How Do You Like Wednesday?", is a collection of six songs related to the show that they have performed live. Each song was created as a tribute to a specific "project" within the program, and the content will leave listeners unfamiliar with the show completely bewildered. It is a work that truly deserves to be called a collection of songs by "How Do You Like Wednesday?" fans for "How Do You Like Wednesday?" fans.
For the recording, Masamichi Ureshino, the director of "Suiyou Dou Deshou," made a guest appearance by recording his own "famous quotes." In addition, Sachi of Kuroiro Sumire, who has been working with them for many years on the "Suiyou Dou Deshou Caravan," participated on violin, and Takuya Miura of DEPAPEPE also provided equipment support for the acoustic guitar recording.
Furthermore, the back of the jacket and the booklet feature photographs taken during the long-running "Suiyou Dou Deshou Caravan" events, with the cooperation of HTB Hokkaido Television. The album is a work that allows listeners to feel not only the music but also the history of the acoustic team and the event.
The release date coincides with their appearance at the "Suiyou Dou Deshou Matsuri UNITE2026" on September 5th. The work will be released on CD and will also be available on various music streaming services. The CD will not be sold in general CD shops, but will only be available at live venues and the Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai online shop.
In addition, along with the release announcement, various goods—the first ever from Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai's acoustic band—were also announced. With "Suiyou Dou Deshou Matsuri UNITE 2026" just around the corner, this news will only add to the excitement for fans.
